Welcome to Hyperfast NI – home for information and updates on Project Gigabit, delivered by Fibrus, bringing Full Fibre broadband to rural communities in Northern Ireland.

Project Gigabit is the UK government’s rollout of fast, reliable broadband across the UK. The programme targets homes and businesses that are not included in broadband companies’ commercial plans, reaching parts of the country that would otherwise miss out. 

Fibrus has been selected to deliver a £34.6 million broadband improvement project for Northern Ireland to bring fast, reliable, gigabit-capable broadband to approximately  9,000 additional homes and businesses that might have otherwise missed out on gigabit upgrades.   

The Project Gigabit NI award follows Fibrus’ successful delivery of the £200 million Project Stratum contract, a UK Government and  Department for the Economy-backed venture, which brought full fibre broadband to over 81,000 premises across Northern Ireland.
