Emma Garrett lives in a semi-rural area just outside Carryduff with her two young sons, they are passionate gamers, football fans and Netflix viewers. Prior to connecting to the Hyperfast NI full fibre gigabit capable broadband Emma’s home connection was poor and did not meet the requirements of her family, video calls for work would often drop out and there were problems if more than one member of the household was connected to the broadband at any one time. When full fibre gigabit capable broadband became available in her area thanks to the Hyperfast NI network rollout, Emma signed up for a connection with the Internet Service Provider Fibrus, where she says the customer service experience was exceptional.
Hyperfast NI is a Fibrus owned brand for Project Stratum to deliver full fibre gigabit broadband to ~85,000 of the most remote rural premises across Northern Ireland. Project Stratum is funded by UK Government, Department for Economy, and Department of Agriculture Environment and Rural Affairs, that along with Fibrus’ funding, represents an investment of almost £250 million in levelling up digital infrastructure in Northern Ireland.
